The traditional fair-exhibition of the first days of November.
This event will happen at the piazzale Umbria Jazz in Pian di Massiano (Perugia), at the Piazza del Bacio (Perugia) and in the centre of Perugia. This event is a fair-exhibition where people from all over the world to sell their local products.

History
This fair-exhibition exists from 1260, so the ancient Middle Ages, as a religious fair. It let people commercialize local products, such as agricultural products and/or livestock. The event was also a good chance to meet people from all over Italy and to taste their products. These people who came from far, stayed in Umbrian hotels, so it was also a good thing for the hoteliers.

During these days people played also some games, such as the Corsa all’anello or the bull hunting.
During the last years these games have been replaced by an amusement park (the “baracconi”).
The aim of this fair is to remember the loved ones and to do that people eat some Umbrian sweets: the “stinchetti”, the “ossa dei morti” and the “fave dei morti”. This fair is a symbol of membership to a community.
