Concerts, exhibitions, meetings, “bartocciate”, puppet shows&other things.
The Carnival is promoted by the “Società del Bartoccio” company to let the Perugian citizens enjoy the ancient traditions of the “Bartoccio da Pian del Tevere”.
The star of this Carnival will be the “Bartocciata”: the fact that society and authorities vices and defects are put in satirical verses.As always, there will be the puppet show at the end of the days.
“Bartoccio da Pian del Tevere” is the traditional Perugian mask, as “Arlecchino” is the traditional Venetian mask and “Pulcinella” the traditional Neapolitan mask.
