Once upon a time... Montepetriolo

From more than 30 years, here we celebrate the “Once upon a time…Montepetriolo” Festival. This one is a traditional country Festival that wants to celebrate the truffle and the boar meat! At the beginning, these two products were cooked by aged people who knew very well how to cook them. They cooked almost 14 kilos of boar meat, while nowadays the quantity of meat cooked is of 150 kilos a day! As sweet they propose the “Monte Re” (realized with corn flakes and dark chocolate and covered by cream).
Along the streets you will see coloured lights and flags.
Nowadays these products couldn’t be cooked by aged people because of new sanitary laws, but they are similarly good!
