Olive Oil PDO Umbria

The Umbrian PDO (Protected Designation of Origin) olive oil is produced with traditional methods in the numerous olive mill that are inland. This olive oil has a lot of organoleptic qualities, a low level of acidity and is rich of polyphenols. Thanks to these qualities, the Umbrian PDO olive oil is among the better ones in Italy and in the world.
It has a lot of benefits: is protective on the arteries, on the stomach and on the liver; moreover it is the best antioxidant food.

Umbria is the first Italian region that gained the PDO recognition throughout the regional territory because its high qualitative standard, with 5 sub-areas that must be written on the label.

The 5  Umbrian PDO Olive Oil Sub-areas are:
- Colli del Trasimeno
- Colli Orvietani
- Colli Amerini-Valnerina
- Colli Assisi-Spoleto
- Colli Martani
