The Museum is hosted by two historical buildings: the Palazzetto del Podestà, built in 1371, and the adjoining Palazzo Biancalana. Recently restored (1996), the museum gathers all sorts of objects that are closely linked with the local history; it also hosts several archaeological findings and a gallery of paintings.
Very interesting some works of art come from local churches, such as “Madonna of Mercy” by Perugino, other paintings of Iacopo Siculo, Dono Doni, Fiorenzo di Lorenzo and Della Robbia. The ground floor gathers Etruscan, Roman and Medieval findings; in the underground of the main square, at a depth of 22 m., archaeologists found a Medieval well with an average diameter of 6.40 m.

Clearway E45 (Superstrada) Ravenna-Orte, exit Torgiano or Deruta.
National Road SS3 (Flaminia), exit Foligno, towards Assisi-Perugia.

By train: To perugia (20 km) or Assisi (10 km), take the railway line Foligno-Terontola.

By bus: Daily bus-rides from and to Perugia and Assisi.
