Perugia - Cantina Brugnoni

In the late Twenties, Brugnoni’s family moves to Pieve Pagliaccia to start the sharecropping of the farm Fattoria di Pieve Pagliaccia, one of the most important plots of Villa Colombella. In 1959 the main step, probably the most brave and evidently the most judicious: our grandfathers, despite many difficulties, bought the plot, up to this time managed as croppers, and in this way they became the real main characters of the rural development of our land. By this time, our farm’s history follows a very straight way to the future, everyone of its steps having the aim of improving the qualities of our land.
During this long and rough road we have never seen our past such as a rule to follow straightly and in a steely way, but we acted considering our history such a an incredible treasure which, also nowadays, will be the medium to keep the best choices respecting the true nature of our territory.
Planting new vineyards, continuous renovation of our winery are examples of our will to increase as more as possible the importance of our land. In the same way, the production of our wines doesn’t want to follow market laws and prefixed laws, but always walks without defined schemes; our dream is to obtain original products, which are symbols of territory, seasons, history and human hand. Passion for our work, and, in the same way, respect and love for our land now as in the past, makes possible to get an optimistic look to the future, hoping to always be able to offer genuine and typical products.
