Todi - Cantina Peppucci

The Monastery of S. Antimo, placed on a hill to 422 m s.l.m. from which there is a splendid  point of  view  where the crest of the hill of Todi stands out, it is found in proximity of the castle of Petroro, on the roman road that function as connection to North between Todi and the consular Flaminia. It was constructed from the Benedictine monks  of the vallombrosana congregation. The first historical news that regards it has in 1275.
Today the complex of the monastery belongs to the Peppucci family and it is found to the center of the wine company that from it takes the name, of which are titular the young brothers Elisabetta and Filippo Peppucci.
On own lands, particularly  favourable for this type of  cultures, the company has implanted approximately 13 hectares of new vineyards with grapevines  of Grechetto di Todi, Sagrantino, Sangiovese, and international others vineyards which Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. The vineyards have modern characteristics, for sixth of system adopted, characterized from elevated density of the rows - 5,050 plants to hectare – and for the breeding system, the bilateral “speronato” cord, particularly adapted for wines of elevated quality.
The productive philosophy of the company - that it is taken advantage of the agronomic and enologic advising of Lorenzo Landi, one of more appreciates Italian wine makers - is based on the courageous search of the quality pursued through lowlands rendered for hectare, separate collection of the grapes of the same vineyard in order to catch up the best possible maturation, grape harvest carried out by hand in cassettes, in order to select only the better clusters.
The aim is to produce wines that are authentic expression of this splendid territory.

From North and South:
from E45 take Todi-Ponterio exit. At 500 metres of the crossroad in direction to Todi, turn on the left and take the S.P. 418 to Foligno. After Duesanti and Petroro towns, after 1 Kms, you can find the entrance of the company.
From A1-Orvieto arrive in Todi.Ponterio and then at 500 metres of the crossroad in direction to Todi, turn on the left and take the S.P. 418 to Foligno. After Duesanti and Petroro towns, after 1 Kms, you can find the entrance of the company.
From Foligno take the S.S. 316 until Bastardo’s town and then take the S.P. 418 towards Todi. After 9 Kms, before the Petroro’s town, you find the Company.
